A Great Place to Practice

(Click here for range rates and amenities)

Bring every club in your bag because you can work on your entire game at CGC. We know that chipping and putting are two of the most important aspects of golf. That's why access to our grass putting/chipping green, artificial grass putting green and sand bunker is FREE, unlike at other facilities where they charge a special fee for these areas. NOTE: Grass putting green closed every Wednesday for maintenance, artificial green open daily.

Golfers of all ages and skill levels enjoy the high quality of our practice facility. We regularly install and rotate new artificial grass mats and top-quality range balls for a realistic practice environment.

Fiberbuilt® Mats
Allows you to practice your swing with no hand shock or arm injuryThe Fiberbuilt® "synthetic grass" surface provides the true feel and play of real grass. Hand shock, arm injury and golf club damage that is often associated with turf mats, has now been eliminated by the new patented "long fiber" technology.

Our mats have a true grass-like hitting surface that allows for a proper swing and follow through, with accurate ball flight trajectory and spin.

We're here when you have time - we open earlier and stay open later than all other ranges and pro shops in the area (click here for hours of operation). Drop in for practice before or after work, on your lunch-hour or enjoy all-day and late-night fun on the weekends. Bring the entire family for a fun way to spend time together. We love kids at the range.

Equipment is available for you to borrow, both left- and right-hand, for men, women and juniors. Rentals are ALWAYS FREE for kids and are just $1 for irons and putters and $3 for woods for adults.

A variety of cold drinks and snacks are available, and there is outdoor seating for spectators or for just relaxing in between hits or at the end of your practice.

Practice Smart

How many of us go the range and beat balls for an hour? Is our game really improving? Remember that the practice session is the recording session for the subconscious mind and imperative for playing "in the zone."

When we practice we need to think of it as simulating our playing time on the golf course. Every practice session should start with some simple stretching exercises.

Beginning: Hit balls with the shorter clubs initially before working into the full swing.

Long game: When you are hitting balls, pick a different target every couple of shots and go through your pre-shot routine each time.

Chipping: Chip a ball toward a hole, then go putt it in the hole. Repeat with each chip.

Putting: Direct one ball to each hole until you drop it in the hole, so you are practicing the process of (hopefully) one- or two-putting each green.

Remember, the practice swing is just as important as the real swing in play -- so make sure you focus on the target and the intended ball flight as if it were the real thing.
