When and why should clubs be re-gripped?
After 20 rounds or every six months, whichever comes first. Think of grips like the oil in your car: change your grips for optimum performance. Clubs with worn grips will slip in your hands, causing open or closed club faces that result in hooks or slices. Incorrectly sized grips may cause you to grip the club too tightly, causing tension in your hands and loss of distance.
New technology allows companies to manufacture grips in a variety of sizes, colors and degrees of firmness. We'll help you determine if your current grips are the correct size for you and help you select new ones to your liking. Ask about special grips for players with arthritis.
How to pick and why to change shafts?
Every player has an optimum shaft for their swing. Your personal specifications for proper weight and flex can be determined through a club-fitting session. The right shaft will give you optimum ball flight, proper spin rate and launch angle. Sometimes a shaft change is more effective and costs less than buying an entirely new club.
NOTE: Re-grips are often completed while you wait or same-day, though they may take up to 24 hours due to work load. Club repairs typically take a 24-hour turn-around. Some repairs may cost more than prices listed and will be quoted at time of request. We cannot save all grips with shaft work. Replacement grips are additional and priced separately. Time requirements and prices for all product delivery and services will be quoted at time of request. Shipping fees may apply to special orders. Not all repair requests are possible or completed on-site due to method of club construction or condition of club. We may send clubs to manufacturer for repair or replacement.

Practice SmartHow many of us go the range and beat balls for an hour? Is our game really improving? Remember that the practice session is the recording session for the subconscious mind and imperative for playing "in the zone."
When we practice we need to think of it as simulating our playing time on the golf course. Every practice session should start with some simple stretching exercises.
Beginning: Hit balls with the shorter clubs initially before working into the full swing.
Long game: When you are hitting balls, pick a different target every couple of shots and go through your pre-shot routine each time.
Chipping: Chip a ball toward a hole, then go putt it in the hole. Repeat with each chip.
Putting: Direct one ball to each hole until you drop it in the hole, so you are practicing the process of (hopefully) one- or two-putting each green.
Remember, the practice swing is just as important as the real swing in play -- so make sure you focus on the target and the intended ball flight as if it were the real thing.
